Founded by Julie Sengupta, Goynaghor was born from her lifelong fascination with handcrafted art and Indian heritage.

Raised amidst the cultural mosaics of India's metro cities, Julie grew up surrounded by colours, textures, and stories that shaped her aesthetic soul.

What began as a personal love for jewellery soon turned into a purpose — to bring Bengal's hidden artistry to the world. Every Goynaghor creation is an ode to India's craftsmanship, women's individuality, and the emotion behind handmade beauty.

The Meaning – Why the Name Goynaghor?

The word "Goynaghor" (গয়নাঘর) comes from Bengali — meaning "The House of Jewels." For us, it's not just a name; it's a home for art, for dreams, and for artisans whose hands breathe life into every creation.

The Craft – Made in Bengal, Worn by the World

At Goynaghor, jewellery is not manufactured — it's born through touch. Our artisans from West Bengal handcraft each piece using techniques passed down through generations, moulding clay, polishing onyx, stringing beads, painting details with patience and pride.
